Stac, Arch

Vertical column of rock on a coastline formed by erosion. Stacks are originally connected to the cliff but over time the connecting rock is removed by wave erosion to leave an isolated tower of rock. Alternatively the erosion might create a rock arch that in time might itself partially collapse to leave a stack.
